Swedish scanst (Kuce Hill, Jumprava Hill). Medieval fortification. The monument of national meaning is located in the village Stari 450 m from Atspuki mill, 70 mto the Southeast from the ruins of Jumpravmuiža. The territory is 0,7 – 1 m deep outside and 1 – 1,5 m high inside. The new road to the ruins of Jumpravmuiža leads through the West side of the fortification.

The organic farm Zemturi is a 30 min drive from Kuldiga. The farm is mainly engaged in breeding rabbits and is designed as a place for children to see, learn about rabbits, birds and other pets. Das Landgut, das der Familie der Barone Osten-Sacken gehört hat, wurde von 1856 – 1857 neu gebaut, weil das alte Landgut während des Krimkriegs (1853 – 1856) zerstört wurde. Es hat sich herausgestellt, dass am Anfang des erwähnten Kriegs englische Schiffe die lettische Küste und Schiffe beschossen haben, um den russischen Zaren Angst einzujagen. Dabei wurde auch Kolka beschossen, die damals zum Russischen Reich gehörte. Nach der Zerstörung des Landgutes wurde an ihrer Stelle das sogenannte Weiße Haus mit Wirtschaftgebäuden gebaut. Im ersten Geschoss des Hauses wurde ein Mantelschornstein für das Räuchern von Wild (hat sich bis heute erhalten) gebaut. Im Besitz der Adligen befand sich das Landgut bis zum Jahr 1919, als sein letzter Besitzer Christian von der Osten-Sacken in Tukums erschossen wurde. Im Jahr 1929 wurde in dem Weißen Haus eine Elementarschule eingerichtet, die künftig die Schule von Kolka genannt wurde und die bis 1961 (dann wurde eine neue Schule gebaut) arbeitete, aber bis 1989 fanden in dem Gebäude Werkunterrichte statt. Damals wird die Schule die Alte oder die Kleine Schule genannt. Seit 1991 gehört die Alte Schule von Kolka der Fakultät für Biologie der Universität Lettland und seit 1994 ist sie der Sommerpraktikumsort für Studenten.

The rock is along the main street of Krāslava and is found at Augusta Street 12.  After major reconstruction of the city’s infrastructure, the rock was successfully integrated into the surrounding landscape.  The rock is 2.8 m long, 2.2 m wide and 700 cm high.  It once served as a border stone for the village of Krāslava.  It was placed there in 1729 to commemorate the day when the noble Plater dynasty bought Krāslava.  The dynasty’s seal is engraved in the side of the rock along with the date when it was installed.  Legend has it that Polish King Augustus II dined at the rock after a hunt, and that is why it is known as Augustus’ Rock.
