Маршрут проходит по живописным природным местам Эстонии – биосферному заповеднику Моонзунда (Moonzund), национальному парку Матсалу (Matsalu) и заповеднику Вийдумяэ (Viidumäe). Маршрут включает два самых больших острова Эстонии, богатых природными и культурными памятниками – Сааремаа и Хийюмаа, - а также малые острова Муху и Касари. В маршрут включены самые интересные природные тропы (длина каждой 1-5 км), смотровые вышки и места наблюдения за птицами, биотопы, а также три поездки на пароме между островами Моонзундского архипелага. |

It is the bicycle collection of father and son Jānis and Guntis Seregins, which is the only collection of antique bicycles in Latvia. They have been collecting cycles since 1977 when they joined the Antique Automobile Club and became fascinated with Latvia’s cycling traditions. The collection’s core is formed from technically unusual bicycles. In total, the museum has approximately 70 Latvian-made and used bicycles. Besides bicycles there are many other pieces of cycling ephemera relating to sport, cycle clubs and bicycle production. The museum has an extensive collection of bicycle brands, bringing together 1000 badges from all over the world. Guided excursions available. |

Befindet sich am linken Ufer des Flusses Mēmele, 1,1 km nördlich von der Ortschaft Bangas. Vilis Plūdons (1874 – 1940) war ein hervorragender lettischer Dichter, Vertreter des nationalen Romantismus und Lehrer. Vilis Lejnieks (der richtige Name) ist im Landkreis Bauska in der Familie des Besitzers des Bauernguts „Lejenieki” Jāņis Lejnieks geboren. Die von der Großmutter erzählten Märchen, Geschichten und Volkslieder hatten Einfluss auf das kleine Kind schon in der Kindheit. V. Plūdons ist auf dem sich unweit befindenden (0,3 km) Familienfriedhof – auf dem Plūdone-Friedhof bestattet worden. In Museum ist eine Exposition errichtet, die einen Lebens- und Schaffensweg des Dichters veranschaulicht. Neben dem Hasenschwitzbädchen erwarten Hasen – nach den Motiven des Gedichtes „Hasenschwitzbädchen”. |

The tower on the eastern shore of Lake Engure (next to the meadow for wild cattle, accessible from the side of Bērzciems) offers a view of the reeds, small islands, Great Island, cows and horses of the north-eastern part of the lake. Die Kirche befindet sichim Zentrum von Nereta, in der Rīgas Straße 2. Sie wird als eines der ältesten Gotteshäuser (Barock mit Merkmalen der späten Gotik) der Region Zemgale angesehen. Die Kirche wurde von 1584 bis 1593 auf der Initiative des Grafen Wilhelm von Effern gebaut (im Jahr 1679 umgebaut). In der Kirche befinden sich aus Stein gemeißelte Grabstein-Reliefs, die am Ende des 16. Jh. hergestellt und Wilhelm von Effern und Georg von Effern gewidmet sind. (Der Grabstein von Georg von Effern ist das hervorragendste Kunstwerk des frühen nördlichen Manierismus in Lettland.) Das Altargemälde (1863) hat P. Handlers geschaffen, die Orgel (1893) hat R. Knaufs gebaut, aber die Glasmalereien (1900) hat E. Baijermans gebildet, die Deckenlaternen sind aus dem 17. und 19. Jh. Die Besucher der Kirche können aus dem 38,6 Meter hohen und eigenartigen achteckigen Kirchenturm die Landschaft von Nereta und der näheren Umgebung besichtigen. |
