Befindet sich am Rande der alten Straße Alūksne – Ape, unweit von der Ortschaft Karva. Das Denkmal wurde am 12. November 1937 eröffnet. Das Denkmal wurde nach einem Entwurf des Architekten V. Vitands errichtet. Auf dem Denkmalsockel ist die Inschrift angebracht: “Die im Lettischen Unabhängigkeitskrieg 1919 gefallenen Krieger des Regiments von Valmiera. Auf der Grenze habe mein Leben bei der Verteidigung der Heimat gegeben”. Das Denkmal wurde 1975 zerstört, aber 1994 erneuert.

The only Art Nouveau building in Aluksne, built at the beginning of the 20th century, now works as a hotel. Historically, the building once housed a Railway hotel, so the original name of the hotel - "Bahnhofs Hotel" (transl. from German - "Railway" hotel) was kept.

The hotel has 9 rooms (some of which extra beds can be arranged). At an additional cost an English-style breakfast is available. Hotel guests are offered a half-hour free access to the swimming pool at hotel "Jolanta", which is nearby, as well as electric scooter and bicycle rental.

A banquet hall is also available for various events.

Beer connoisseurs are offered dark and light beer BURSH. BURSH is made of water, barley malt, hop and yeast, is boiled on a firewood stove, fermented in oak barrels and prepared for 30 days. LLC „ECOS” uses only natural raw material in the process of brewing. Beer is made according to the special recipes made especially for BURSH brewery and with attention to traditiaonal methods of brewing beer.

Das Schloss befindet sich im Zentrum von Dikli. Das im Jahr 1896 gebaute Schloss wurde im Jahr 2003 renoviert, jetzt befindet sich hier ein luxuriöses 4-Sterne-Hotel. Im Schloss von Dikli kann man antike Möbel, Kamine und Kachelöfen, sowie eine Gemäldeausstellung von lettischen Künstlern besichtigen. In zwei Restaurants (Sommer- und Winterrestaurant) werden feine Speisen angeboten und es wird für individuelle Bedienung gesorgt. Das Restaurant arbeitet mit Bauernhöfen zusammen.

Lettische Küche: Rindfleischsteak, gegrillte Forelle, geräucherter Wildschweinspeck, Filet eines Zanders aus dem See Burtnieks. Während der Saison werden in den umliegenden Wäldern gesammelte Pilze und Beeren serviert.

Das besondere Gericht: Hirschschnitzel, kandierte Früchte und Beeren im Sirup und Zwiebelmarmelade.

Die ältesten Informationen über die Quelle von Tirza stammen aus der Mitte des 18. Jh., aber die Quelle wurde schon viel früher verwendet. Nach Waschungen oder dem Wasserschöpfen wurde der Quelle geopfert. In der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jh. begannen der Baron von Tirza und die Kirche einenKampf gegen die heidnischen Traditionen, sie waren jedoch nicht sehr erfolgreich. Über der Quelle wurde eine Überdachung gebaut und noch heute kommen Menschen zur Quelle, um Wasser zu schöpfen.

Boaters along the Gauja will see the Velnala cliffs, which are the last mighty wall along the banks of the Gauja River valley – approximately 15 m high. From the opposite shore of the river, where there are leisure facilities, once can spot the Krimulda Devil’s cave, which is in the centre of the cliff, is some 19 m deep, and is 4.7 m high. There were once wooden structures which allowed people to visit the cave, but that stopped in 1980 for safety reasons. If you head toward Turaida along the lower part of the basic Gauja River shoreline from the Velnala cliffs, then, particularly when the trees are bare, you will see the mighty sandstone Piķene cliff. At its foot is the Piķene beaver trail, which is approximately 1 km long. On quiet evenings, you may well spot a beaver at work. Along the path you will see the Small Devil’s cave (5 m deep) with the Wisdom Stream that flows out of it. The Aunapiere cave is almost as deep. Between the cliff and the Gauja are several small rivulets which are of enormous importance in preserving the diversity of the surrounding environment.

The White Dune is one of the landmarks of Saulkrasti, on the Vidzeme gulf coast. The dune offers a splendid view of the sea, the mouth of the Inčupe River and the vast beach. The White Dune formed as the wind drove beach sand over the clay silt of Baltic Ice Lake. Its white 18 meters high sand outcrop once helped local fishermen find their way home. The dune got its name from its white, hardened layers of sand which look like sandstone.
In White Dune are set up following Nature Design objects: "Entrance gates" which symbolizes White Dune and its fragility. On the wall of this object an information about White Dune are exposed. "Frīda the Hedgehog" and "Fredis the Rabbit"- both objects invite people to be polite when visiting nature sites and not to throw rubbish on the ground as well as to be quiet in the forest. "The bug trail" which helps to understand that humans are not the only one creatures in the nature. "Listening device" which is made in the form of trumpet and helps to listen into the sounds of sea and wind. The approximately 4 kilometers long Sunset Trail winds from the White Dune to the center of Saulkrasti.
