The farm "Krūmiņi", popularly called the Bread House, is a place to participate in real rural bread baking rituals, make dough and bake pies yourself, get to know grains, explore grain products, create Latvian strength signs and learn about centuries-old traditions related to bread. The heartfelt owners of the farmstead in the old barn also offer to enjoy the anniversaries, unusually celebrate their special holidays and enjoy extended life skills programs with soup cooked by the fire and watching natural events. When visiting the Bread House, you will learn why bread is baked here with the taste of freedom for almost 100 years, and the merry owners of the house know best to tell about it. |

The large farm is to the South of the centre of Lone, producing apples, pears, plums, cherries, strawberries and black currants. It stores apples during the whole winter. You can help to pick the fruit and berries and purchase them for yourself. |

This workshop manufactures belts, bags, jewellery (pendants, brooches, bracelets), as well as covers. It offers book binding services and prepares souvenirs. Tours are available for groups of up to 50 people. You can try your own hand at the crafts, taste teas, and cook soups on an open fire. |

The rest complex is situated on the shore of the man-made water reservoir, and there are two saunas on the territory – the Big sauna and the Small sauna. In the building of the Big sauna it is possible to organise different events for as many as 40 people, and in summertime – till 60 people. In the Small sauna – up to 20 people. Apart from the saunas, there are offered 20 different picnic places with tables, places for grills and tents, volleyball playgrounds, boats and water-bicycles for rent. |

The Jaunpils Dairy was opened more than 100 years ago, in 1912, and it produces semi-hard and soft cheeses, cottage cheese, cream, desserts and other dairy products. Only milk from Latvian farmers is used, and the products are exported to more than 17 countries in the world. Products are also sold at the store that is adjacent to the company. |

This company is proud of more than 100 years of history. Today it is the third largest cheese manufacturer and sixth largest dairy processing company in Latvia. It partners with some 150 Latvian providers of high-quality milk. Smiltenes Dairy is the only one to manufacture “Latvian Cheese.” The company’s products have been awarded the “Green Teaspoon” award. Smiltenes Dairy exports products to five countries in the world and has a nearby store where you can purchase its products. |

Andris Roze is one of very few kokle makers in Latvia who manufactures the instrument and helps others to do so at master’s classes. Roze also manufactures other traditional musical instruments, demonstrates them, offers consultations about them, collects them and gathers together historical information. He works at the Drabeši Crafts House, where people can learn traditional skills such as weaving, processing of leather, felting, pottery and construction of musical instruments. |

The Joži farm is along the side of the Jaunpils-Viesata road in Jaunpils. It is one of the largest grain farms in Latvia (winter and summer grains, as well as rapeseed), and it was established in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Today the farm has 14 grain silos and is reconstructing its grain drying facility. The farm has some 5,000 ha of land and state-of-the-art farm equipment. Owners Gunvaldis and Guna Sproģis have been actively involved in various EU projects and have won various competitions such as the "Sower" competition. |

The craftsman produces wooden dishware and other products, making use of many local species of trees. The technique is unusual and reveals the specific texture of timber. The artist has masterfully integrated amber, bone and animal horn in his dishware. He also engraves spoons with ethnographic signs. You can commission or purchase products from the master craftsman, who also restores wooden furniture. |

The blacksmith is eager to show his work and various techniques and tools. He can also show how to make charcoal, and talks about the dwelling house which includes a threshing barn with a huge kiln, and explains how grain was dried, threshed and winnowed in the past. |

The garden is opposite the Brenguļi brewery, where unfiltered and unpasteurised beers are made from locally grown grains and on the basis of the knowledge of ancestors. Mežvidi (SIA Latgale Vegetable Logistics) began operations in 2007 and sells tasty and healthy red tomatoes. The owners plan to grow and deliver tomatoes during the winter, when people have the greatest need for healthy and vitamin-rich vegetables. The farm helps to facilitate co-operation among people who farm vegetables, and it informs the public about how tomatoes are grown. |

This medieval saloon is a true Middle Ages saloon situated on the premises of the Ventspils Castle of the Livonian Order, next to which the river Venta flows. The saloon is thoughtfully incorporated in the castle ensemble, the interior design and the foods that are served create a true feeling of the Middle Ages. It is possible to look at different animals at the farm – horses, goats, rabbits, dogs, cats and marmots. It is possible to participate in farming tasks and try out farm instruments, to learn the steps of ancient dances, to walk along the animal paths and to taste pancakes baked on the open fire with goat cheese. The Eleja creamery offers tastings of cheeses from the farm that is run by the Mālkalns family (apply in advance for the tastings!). There are seven kinds of cheeses, including smoked and matured cheeses. There is French cheese that has been prepared in partnership with a French cheese-making specialist, M Eribert. Blūdži is in the Sesava Parish, 7 km from Eleja, and welcomes small groups. The farm bakes bread, processes vegetables (tomato juice) and prepares other country goodies. |
