Abenteuer für Kinder und Erwachsene im Nationalpark Gauja

I want to give you some feed back for our journey to lettland.

First, thank you for the very good organisation: hotels, bikes and special the man with the kanu. He helped us a lot, because we had to change the day, it was raining so hard. He was very kind, brought us to the next hotel and organiced for the next day a wonderful trip on the river, brought us again with our bikes to the next hotel.  Great!!

 

But let me tell how it started:

my luggage did'nt come with me from vienna to riga, it was lost. After 5 days I got it! So I had to buy some things in Riga (I hate shopping!)

On sunday we start from our hotel to the trainstation by bike. After one kilometer Helga had no air in her wheel. So we decided to go out of the train in Valmiera because may be there we'll find a shop and people who could help us.

We were lucky and we found a shop for bicycles and it was open! (Sunday!) That was very good because the reserve tube, what we had with us, was not the right size!

 

Then the rain started and afte 3 days it was raining elks!

But we had a good mood and in Sigulda we visited a concert at the music school - wonderful and the walkingtours in this beautiful natur were great.

We found very good places to eat and enjoyed very much how the people cook!! And the beer...!!

 

The place at Dunte Hous was incredible - it's like out of a picture-book! Phantastic!

 

The only thing for me: some hotels, they are perfect, but I would prefer to stay more simple in a typical wooden house for example like in Ligatne.

 

I hope, that your country will take care of the natur also in the futute. And will make not the same misstakes as in other countries where big hotels etc. destroed so much!

We enjoyed very much, that the all day feeling was more slow than we used. And we enjoyed very much to buy our staff in grocery shops and not only in a supermarket.

 

All together, it was a good trip to Lettland! Thanks!
