Ložmetējkalns Hill is one of the highest locations at the Long Dune. There is a monument to heroic Latvian riflemen who suffered great losses here during the Christmas battles of late 1916. There is a great view of forests all the way to Jūrmala, as well as of the Maztīrelis swamp, where the embankment of the former narrow-gauge railroad is very evident. This is part of a memorial park to commemorate the Christmas battles. You can visit the Mangaļi museum, the restored “German Rampart,” monuments and other objects.

Das Landgutsensemble in Milzkalne am Ufer des Flüsschens Slocene begann sich im 15. Jahrhundert zu bilden als einen geschlossenen Komplex fränkischen Typs für die Wirtschaftsbedürfnisse des Ordens und ist heutzutage ein einzelnes erhaltenes Beispiel eines befestigten Landguts solchen Typs (als ein Versteck für Gutsbesitzer im Angriffsfall) in Lettland. Am Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts wurden Tortürme mit den herrschaftlichen Flügeln, aber in den 18 – 19 Jahrhunderten – auch die Wirtschaftsgebäude errichtet. Von der ursprünglichen Bebauung ist eine Mauer mit den Schießöffnungen erhalten geblieben. In einem der Flügel des Komplexes wurde das Straßenbaumuseum Lettlands eingerichtet. In einem Hauptgebäude des Landguts befindet sich ein Hotel, hier werden Exkursionen und Verkostungen von Landerzeugnissen angeboten.

“Dabas zirgi” offers strolls with a horse, tours involving feeding the animals, as well as horseback rides.  Family celebrations are perfect here with a lean-to, a grill, and a pot on a campfire.  Contact the venue in advance to arrange for prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner.  There is also a sauna with a jacuzzi.

The Narūta River which flows out of Lake Ežezers is approximately 1 km long and ends at the small Obiteļi windmill lake.  On the right bank of the river is a windmill that was built around 1900.  Today the site has the Obiteļa leisure centre with a sauna and banquet facilities.

Dieses Gebiet befindet sich im Süden des Flusses Irbe und ist einzigartig mit mehr oder weniger unberührten Wäldern und Dünen. Die Irbe hat ein System alter Nebenflüsse. Kristus līdz vēlajam dzelzs laikmetam. Domājams, ka savu nosaukumu tas ieguvis šeit sastopamo mālu dēļ. Nelielas mālu ieguves vietas pilskalna nogāzēs ir redzamas arī šodien. Saglabājies nostāsts, ka grāfs Plāters šeit apraudājis savu sievu, kuru pats neuzticības dēļ licis iemūrēt pazemē.

Tiek uzskatīta par vecāko alus darītavu Ziemeļeiropā. Tā tika uzcelta 1878. gadā, un tās pirmais īpašnieks bija grāfs Emanuels fon Zīverss (Sievers), Cēsu pils muižas saimnieks. Savukārt 1922. gadā alus darītavu pārpirka Cēsu uzņēmēji un sāka tur ražot arī vīnu, sulas un minerālūdeni. Uzņēmums "Cēsu alus" šeit alu un atspirdzinošus dzērienus ražoja no 1976. līdz 2001. gadam, bet šobrīd tas ir pārcēlies uz jaunām telpām.  Šobrīd ēkā tiek organizētas dažādas izstādes, kā arī ēku var apskatīt no ārpuses.

St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church of Nagļi was built in 1862 by landlord Nābels. Some time ago, Nagļi Church was a branch of Viļāni Church. The Bernardian monks served there. After the closing of the cloisters in 1930s, the church was served by priests.
