"Lauku ceļotājs" invites you to the campaign "Open Days in the Countryside", which will take place on May 27-28, 2017. This year, the campaign will take place in both Latvia and Lithuania. The aim of the campaign is to promote rural areas, products grown, produced, and prepared in rural areas, and services, as well as to interest residents of large and small cities in going away from the city for 2 days to get to know rural life, taste rural delicacies, find farms from which to purchase products grown and produced in rural areas, and enjoy the activities and sensations that can be experienced in the countryside. This year, the emphasis is on farms and places open to visitors where you can learn about and experience agricultural processes from the beginnings to modern production, demonstrations and master classes, introducing the modern use of ancient heritage (fish smoking, bread, baking, pottery, etc.). To find out what each farm offers on the days of the promotion, opening hours and rules, go to the "participants" section of this promotion page and look for information under the profile of the specific farm. !!!
