What is Silver Suitcase?

Member card “Silver Suitcase”

The suppliers who are marked with the Senior-friendly sign “Silver Suitcase" have prepared the special bonus for card holders – either in the form of discount or some extra service. Most of the special Senior  price-discounts you can find in off-season products / services.

If you contact the provider for your Senior holidays  - do not forget to mention that you have a Seniors Silver Suitcase Member card.

The “Silver Suitcase” discount card is valid in rural tourism establishments having specialised in senior friendly products and marked with the “Silver Suitcase” logo.

  • A “Silver Suitcase” discount card shows its registration number, the card holder’s name and surname.
  • The discount is granted to a card holder and 1 accompanying person.
  • Card holders make bookings directly with rural tourism establishment informing that the “Silver Suitcase” card will be used and giving the card registration number at the moment of booking.
  • Validity of the card and legitimate ownership must be checked upon arrival of the client.  Cards must bear the name of the cardholder, otherwise they can be rejected.
  • The “Silver Suitcase” card mainly grants discounts during off-season, which means the period except from June 15 to September 1, as well as seasonal and national holidays.  Some establishments may also offer discounts to seniors during main tourism season.
  • The list and offer of senior friendly establishments may change. Constantly updated information is available at www.celotajs.lv/seniors.
  • In Latvia we cooperate with Latvian Senior Federation www.pensionari.lv for Silver suitcase card distribution.

Establishments offering the Senior- products expose stickers at the entrance, in the accommodation premises or other, as appropriate.
