Our stay here was fantastic, the people who work here are very welcoming and our room was fantastic for a very reasonable price. The room was ensuite with a very large bath and the bed was the biggest either of us had ever slept in. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The surrounding area was somewhat bleak due to the time of year we stayed there but it is easy to imagine how beautiful the woods, hills and open spaces would be come spring and summer. For us the main attraction was the ski slope nearby, Reina Trasse. We went mid March and there was snow around and easily enough for skiing. The slopes are ideal for beginners and good enough for more experienced skiers and snowboarders. The cafe at the top of the slope serves truly delicious food in a relaxing environment, well furnished with gentle lighting and a log fire that heats the place. The prices for food here range from 5.00 -10.00 lats. Try the reina burger for 3.00 lats, it is amazing.
