The “Priedes krogs” saloon

The saloon is the Latvian Open-Air Ethnographic Museum. It is an historical saloon that was transported to the museum from Vecumnieki, preserving the smokestack, bread oven, etc. Dining can be accompanied with demonstration of crafts and performances by local musical groups. Latvian weddings are organised here, as well.

Latvian cuisine: Sprat sandwiches, lampreys, stuffed pike, a dish of three types of onions, bull testicles in a creamy sauce, grilled piglet, homemade country bread, soup cooked on a campfire, pancakes.

The “Aitinlauvas” saloon

The saloon is on the edge of the Rīga-Liepāja highway (A9) at the 22 km road marker. Most of the dishes are based on ingredients from the forest. The interior design is based on hunting, and there is a paddock of wild deer alongside the restaurant.

The “Spridisi” café

The café is situated in a comfortable cellar of a museum commemorating the life of the Latvian author Anna Brigadere. Here you will find a variety of foods and drinks that can satisfy any taste. In the summer, in the yard filled with sunshine, you will be able to relax on the outdoor terrace, listening to the waterflow of the Tervete river, whereas in winter, having enjoyed the snow drifted landscapes, warm up in the cellar, drinking tasty tea. The café organises parties with the good witches of the Tērvete forest, as well as rides in horse-drawn carts or sleds.
