Muritz National Park

After his degree in media science at the Technical University in Berlin in 1991 Martin moved to the Mecklenburg Lake district for his first jobs. Since 1997 he´s employed at the Mueritz National Park administration, responsible for touristical infrastructure and regional development of the 322 km² large area. He´s the contact person for the Mueritz National Partner project, a cooperation between 40 regional touristical stakeholders and the Park authority, which was founded in 2005. As a chairman of a small tourism society and member of the marketing board of the Mecklenburg Lake tourism association, he promotes nature tourism in one of the most beautiful areas in Germany. In his spare time, Martin plays volleyball and likes to cycle and canoe. With his familiy Martin lives in a small village in Mueritz National Park. With solar panels on the roof, the carbon footprint of his house is reduced by enviromentally friendly energy. In the cosy holiday flat, guests are very welcome.
