The nature park near the town of Ogre is a popular place for leisure, hiking and, in the winter, cross-country skiing. Most of the park is covered with coniferous trees that are on a long and comparatively narrow line of hillocks with steep sides – another element of nature left behind in Latvia by the Ice Age. Many different plants can be found here. The Jaunogres castle hill is one of the most distinct hillocks in the area. |

Kaut arī Augštaitijas nacionālo parku uzskata par floristiskā ziņā ļoti bagātu teritoriju, šī ir vienīgā vieta, kur varam iepazīt augu valsts bagātību. To īstenot palīdz takas malās izvietotie informācijas stendi. 3,8 km garās lokveida takas sākums ir meklējams Palūšē, Lūšu (Lūšiai) ezera galējā austrumu punktā. Taka ved gar ezera krastu, mežainām kāpām, nelielu strautu ielejām un pa purvāju. Nenomaldīties palīdz krāsu marķējums uz koku stumbriem. |

Gauja ir Latvijas populārākā ūdenstūristu upe. Laivotājus šeit vilina skaistie smilšakmens atsegumi, upes mierīgais tecējums, dabas un lielā kultūras pieminekļu daudzveidība. Minētajā posmā upe plūst cauri Gaujas senlejai, kas ir viena no iespaidīgākajām Baltijas reljefa formām. Maršruta tehniski sarežģītākā vieta ir Ķūķu krāces, kur nereti gadās pa kādai apgāztai laivai. Lielākais upes kritums ir posmā no Amatas ietekas līdz Līgatnei, tādēļ daudzi braucēji izvēlas Cēsu – Līgatnes posmu. |

Tā nosaukums (koopa no igauņu valodas nozīmē ala, saar – sala) atgādina par Ziemeļu kara notikumiem, kura laikā cilvēki slēpušies pašu raktās alās. Kobasārē un tam blakus esošajā Apjas (Apja) ciemā var izbaudīt patiesi 21. gadsimtam nepierastas lauku ainavas. |
