Naut Kusters (1964) is founding director of ECEAT- Projects a European not for profit  promoting a sustainable development in tourism. ECEAT (European Centre for Eco and Agro Tourism) follows a business oriented approach through the development and implementation of standards, management systems, training tools and by providing marketing support. ECEAT maintains a marketing network of 1.500 sustainable rural farms accommodations in 20 European countries.
 Naut Kusters has gained extensive experience with all aspects of sustainable, rural and ecotourism development, in particular in transition countries. His experience includes identification, development, monitoring and evaluation of rural development strategies, development of training programmes for rural entrepreneurs, development of environmental and hospitality quality systems, development and co-ordination of promotion campaigns, publishing of tourist guides, institution building and the participation of local communities in rural development.
