Andris Klepers

Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Latvian Fund for Nature

Andris is a lecturer at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences and the programme director of „Tourist Guide” bachelor programme. Andris has accomplished human geography master studies at University of Latvia, has studied in Germany, Denmark and has given guest lectures in Hungary. He is close to finish the PhD about spatial structures of tourism and destination marketing. Tourism project consultancy has grown in the everyday duties since strong academic research interest in that field. Andris has worked as a tourist guide since 1997 starting from largest Latvian tour operator “Impro Travels”. Within the passion for birding, he is also owner of micro-company for birdwatchers and has longer experience as public awareness coordinator in Latvian Fund for Nature.
