Jesper Brandt is a full professor in resources, environment and regional development at Dept. of Environmental, Social and Spatial Change (ENSPAC), Roskilde University. His main research areas has been  the structure and development of ‘small biotopes’ in agricultural landscapes within a landscape ecological context, in practice being implemented in monitoring systems for the development and management of agricultural landscapes, mostly en Denmark but also at a European level. Additionally he has been working historical geographically with agricultural systems and their carrying capacity.
