On the farm there is also situated the Star Space observatory where during the ~ two-hour-long visit you will hear simply presented stories about stars, planets and other topics.After the lecture, outside, in fresh air you will be able to put the acquired knowledge to use, by trying to spot some constellations – how to find them, how they look like, etc. After you learn about constellations, you can observe them in the observatory’s powerful telescope which is open to public use.

A biological farm in the lovely nature park of the Ogre River valley.  You can tour the farm to see how biological cattle from the Charolais breed are bred.  Walk down our nature trails to watch cows grazing in the fields.  Visit the little Akmeņupīte stream and the large oak trees that are in the area.  You can see the rapids of the Ogre River and, in the spring, broad fields of ramsons.  The venue offers tastings of its products, and you can also purchase meat to take along with you.

The “Priedītes” Mini Zoo farm is in the Limbaži Administrative District and offers visitors a chance to get close to farm animals.  Learn all about each kind of animal and its habits.  Visit our rabbit garden where you will see some 40 hopping around, though there are some 100 in all.  There are dwarf goats, sheep, a cow, some chickens and special tinker horses from Ireland.  Horseback riding is available.

The “Lamb Club” is a farm in Mazsalaca, and it is special because the sheep live in a real club!  The owners offer the atmosphere of a farm at which the sheep play major roles.  Enjoy mutton and sheep milk foods and beverages, feel how comfortable it is to read your favourite while sitting on a fluffy sheepskin, and, in order not to get cold by the campfire in the evening, you can purchase warm woollen socks and woven woollen cloaks.

The cafe- guest house Liepas is situated in Akniste. Guests are offered to try a tasty meal prepared from the owners’ and nearby farmsteads’ biologically grown vegetables, lamb and dairy products. The farm features twelve friendly horses from Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus, as well as three eager dogs of various species, along with rabbits, chickens, cows and cats. The IKS Park organisation offers rural joy, playing around and relaxing at the edge of a forest.  Visitors can engage in crafts, learn about medicinal plants from Latvia in an interactive way and also learn about the properties of same.  There are two different territories.  One is an open-air exhibition of medicinal plants, with six beds of various plants.  Visitors are invited to stroll through the garden and learn about plants that might be useful and appropriate for them.  There is also room for mini-football, a barefoot trail, an “ant trail” that is a relay race with various steps, a pergola and a class to teach about nature.  Second, there is a small farm with workshops and a mini zoo.  Under a large canopy or in a cosy fireplace hall, visitors can try their hand at traditional and modern Latvian crafts.  There is also a chance to play various games, some of which are quite ancient, indeed.  Master craftsmen at the farm offer practical activities that allow visitors to produce their own souvenirs.  Class topics include weaving of blankets from plants, jewellery making, soap making, grinding of flour, etc.

The owners of the farm inherited it. There is a wood house with decorative trim and window shutters. The owners use milk from their own cows to produce cheeses on the basis of old and modern recipes.
