Embute is traditionally connected to the tragedy of Rainis named „Indulis and Arija”- there is a possibility to organize open-air excursions for groups of school students, to visit places connected to the legend of the play.

The remains of Embute church are used for wedding ceremonies in the open air. The place is ideal for organizing camps, art sessions, adventure competitions. The guests of the Depot are also offered  lodging in other not so traditional places – the saloon carriage of the leader of the Estonian communist party, in the tents on the territory of the depot or on one of stops on the route of the stations of the narrow-gauge train Gulbene – Aluksne (by previous agreement).
