The viewing tower is between the Embūte eco-tourism centre and the Embūte castle hill. It is on a small hillock from which one can see surrounding landscapes and elements of the local culture and history. It is worth hiking the Embūte nature trails and climbing Pavārkalns and Krievukalns (Krīvu) hills.
