Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania (11 days)

The tour offers to experience the variety of landscape, nature and life in the three Baltic countries. Cities, medieval towns, fishing villages, sandy beaches and dunes, forest roads, hills and riverbends – all together make a colorful and changing setting for a dynamic holiday trip. Two nothern capitals Rīga and Tallinn, Estonian islands with juniper stands and windmills, Curonian Spit, the Hill of Crosses, are just some highlights. Enjoy a comfortable bicycle ride while your luggage is following you on the escorting bus! In the evenings, there is every opportunity to go out and enjoy the atmosphere of the locality and satisfy your explorer's curiosity, comparing the taste of local beers in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

1st day / Arrival
Arrival in Rīga Airport
Optional: private transfer to the Hotel.
Overnight in a hotel in Rīga.  
2nd day /  Rīga - Sigulda - Cēsis
Breakfast at the hotel / Meeting with the German/English speaking guide in hotel.
Rīga city sightseeing. Half-day city tour in the Old Rīga – the 800 year old Hanseatic town with one of the most beautiful medieval town centres in Europe, overlooking the river Daugava. The Blackheads house, the St. Peters church, the Rīga Dome Cathedral and the Art Noveau  buildings.
Bus transfer: Rīga – Sigulda (~50 km, 1 hour).
Cycling tour: Sigulda - Turaida – Sigulda (~20 km, 50% asphalt, 50% forest and gravel road)
Optional: Visiting the Turaida Museum reservation with the Bishop's castle ruins, the viewing tower and the garden of sculptures by the river Gauja. Visiting Sigulda town and the ruins of the Order's castle (entrances not included)
Bus transfer: Sigulda - Cēsis (~50 km, asphalt)
Overnight in hotel in Cēsis town.
3rd day / Valmiera - Cēsis
Breakfast at the hotel.
Bus transfer: Cēsis - Valmiera (~30km)
Cycling: Valmiera - Jāņrāmis (~37 km, 10% Asphalt, 5% gravel road, 85% forest trails, 5h). Further the road leads through forests and meadows in the ancient river valley of the Gauja, and past the Sietiņiezis white sandstone rock.
Optional: Canoe tour: Jāņrāmis  - Cēsis (~9 km, 2.5 hours)
Bus transfer: the Gauja river - Cēsis (~5 km). 
The Old Town Cēsis with attractive buildings in Rīga street, the Victory monument, the St. John's church, the Square of Roses, and the medieval town complex with the park.
Overnight in hotel in Cēsis town.

4th day / Cēsis - Pärnu - Tallinn
Breakfast at the hotel.

Bus transfer: Cēsis - Limbaži - Ainaži (~115 km, asphalt)

Cycling: Ainaži/Ikla – Häädemeeste (~30 km, asphalt)

The road leads through old fishing willages on the Baltic seacoast.

Bus transfer: Häädemeeste - Pärnu – Tallinn (~185 km)
On the way, brief Pärnu town sightseeing.

Overnight in the hotel in Tallinn, outside the city centre.
5th day / Tallinn 
Breakfast at the hotel.

Half-day Tallinn city tour with a walk in the Old Town, with the best maintained Gothic medieval town centre in the Northern countries.
In the afternoon cycling: Tallinn – Pirita - Viimsi peninsula (~20 km, 100% asphalt)
Overnight in the hotel in Tallinn, outside the city centre.
6th day / Tallinn - Kuressaare
Breakfast in the hotel.
Bus transfer: Tallinn – Lihula - Virtsu (~135 km)
Ferry transfer: Virtsu – Kuivastu (0.5h)
Transfer: Kuivastu – Koguva (20 km)
A walk in the ethnographic Koguva village.
Transfer: Koguva – Laimjala (30 km)
Cycling: Laimjala -  Kallemäe – Valjala – Kaali – Kuressaare (~55 km, 19% gravel road)
Overnight in hotel (standard room) in Kuresaare
Saaremaa, Sorves bāka
7th day / Kuressaare - Ventspils
Breakfast in the hotel.
Cycling: Kuressaare - Salme - Läätsa – Ohesaare - Laadla – Sääre – Mõntu (~60 km, 40% gravel road)
After visiting Kuressaare town with the Bishop's castle the cycling route leads to Sõrve peninsula.
Ferry transfer: Mõntu – Ventspils (4h)
Arrival in Ventspils.Transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in the hotel in Liepāja.
8th day / Ventspils - Liepāja - Palanga - Klaipeda
Breakfast in the hotel.
Bus transfer: Ventspils - Liepāja (~120 km). On the way, Liepāja town sightseeing with a short visit to the military harbor town.
Bus transfer: Liepāja – Sventoji or Palanga (~70/ 90 km)
Cycling: Sventoji – Palanga (~14 km) - Klaipeda (~27 km, 100 % asphalt, cycling road)
Brief tour of Palanga town – the Botanical Gardens and Amber museum of (entrance not included), the old and new summer villas and the sea bridge.
Cycling along the Baltic seahore through the regional coastal parks (Pajurio). On the way, a brief city tour of Klaipeda.
Overnight in the hotel in Klaipeda.
9th day / Klaipeda - Nida - Klaipeda
Breakfast in the hotel.
In the morning, ferry transfer Klaipeda – Smiltyne (~0.2 h) Bus transfer: Smiltyne – Nida (~50 km)
A walk in the Hill of Witches in Juodkrante and through the colony of cormorans near Juodkrante.
On the way, a walk in the Dead Dune near Pervalka.
Cycling: Nida - Juodkrante (~25 km, 100 % asphalt,  cycling road)
A walk in Nida village with old fishermen cottages, the High Dune, the old Curonian cemetery with traditional Curonian grave markers.
Optional: Amber gallery and the Museum of Mizgiris and the House of Thomas Mann.
Cycling tour: Juodkrante -Smiltyne  (~25 km, 100 % asphalt,  cycling road)
Optional: the Lithuanian Sea museum and the Dolphinarium (Entrance: 9,00 LTL and 13,00 LTL).
In the late afternoon Ferry transfer Smiltyne  - Klaipeda and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in the hotel in Klaipeda.
10th day / Klaipeda - Šiauliai - Jūrmala - Rīga
Breakfast in the hotel.
Bus transfer: Klaipeda - Šiauliai  - Eleja – Jūrmala (~320 km, ~5h)
On the way, a short break at the Hill of Crosses at Šiauliai town.
In the afternoon cycling: Jūrmala- Rīga (~20 km, 100% asphalt, cycling road)
Jūrmala is one of the largest resort towns in the Baltics with 32 km of white sandy beach and pine forests. The area is known for its peculiar old wooden summer cottages and villas and new splendid constructions. 
Return the bicycles.
Overnight in the hotel in Riga.
11th day / Departure
Breakfast in the hotel.
Individual departure or optional extra days in Riga or in the countryside.
Optional: Privat transfer from the hotel to the airport.
